Red Lentil Soup
As you may know, turmeric has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a strong antioxidant. It has even been said that turmeric has the power to help lower blood pressure and may aid in the prevention of chronic diseases and illnesses. So, it’s great to find more ways to include this root into your diet.
Lentils are a great source of plant based protein and are rich in iron and folate. They also are packed full of photochemicals, many of which also aid in the prevention of chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease. Red lentils are great as they cook quickly, but really you could use any lentils (just be sure to adjust cooking time accordingly for the lentils and vegetables).
