HI! I’m Kayla, a wife and mama of two little guys.
I care about what I eat, ALOT. Eating plant-powered food allows me to feel my absolute best! Of course eating this way nourishes my body and beyond that, I find so much JOY out of cooking healthy food for my family and others.
Originally I started this blog as a passionate outlet while at home with two little boys. Sharing my love of vegetables through healthy recipes & inspiration online, turned into food prepping for clients in their homes. Shortly after realizing I can only be in one person’s home at a time, I expanded to working out of a commercial kitchen where many more plant-powered to-go meals are created to feed many more people!
You can find The Roasted Chickpea meals in stores and coffee shops throughout Castlegar, BC and the surrounding area or pre-order and pick-up your meals on Tuesday locally (new menu posted each week, order by Saturday).
Specializing in plant-based and gluten-free healthy meal prep, I aim to fill the gap for those on the hunt for something quick, delicious & nutritionally dense, while also suiting special dietary needs & preferences. And with an abundance of recipes right here on my website, you can make your own at home!
